Last week was a special International week, focussing on RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS.
In their assembly on Friday 18th February, our youngest students shared just how a random act of kindness can affect, and even change a person’s mood.
They started by simply giving out little messages to other students as they came into the assembly. All the recipients shared their gifts with everyone, and we could all see the smiles on the faces of the students as they read out their surprise messages – “You’re special”, “You have a beautiful smile”, “You are fantastic”, etc.
Our youngest students then shared their own idea of kindness, “be nice to each other”, “help one another”, “give someone a compliment”, which really brightening up our day with the simple messages they all shared, as well as helping us all realise just how simple it is – yet so rewarding – to just be kind to another person, whether it’s through a kind remark, or a helping hand.
It's fantastic to learn so much, from our youngest learners.
